Ha! Thank you for this- my morning is now made... how it trails off at the end saying "how stupid is that..." is a stroke of genius!

Yes! I always want to just scream "They're your kids, you chose to have them, and now you can't be bothered to talk to them? That just makes you a bigot AND a bad parent!"
Yes!
Get this idea to Funny or Die STAT! Because that is brilliant!
Word- even with my healthy scholarships, my in-state undergrad would have been rough. I had no parental support (emotionally, yes- it's just financially, it couldn't happen). Turns out, my community college had one of the BEST programs in the state for my intended major, I could pay for it all out of pocket while…
If that isn't Commander in Chic, it's just a missed opportunity.
Marva Johnson sounds like a PR Bot. I know people come off differently when you read what they said versus actually listening to it, but gah... can you imagine having a conversation with her?
The only people I know who like him are people who just tend to be contrary by nature- the kind of people who will play devil's advocate against something they know damn well is true just because they need to win an argument to feel superior. Total over-generalization based on anecdata, but there it is.
I've been laughing at Martini Tiny Fetus all damn day.
Every time...
They won't show their tax records because they contain irrefutable proof of the missing daughters. You just can't explain away all of those electric dog collars, kotex and bulk orders of magic lady underwear.
But... But... The government isn't performing my hypothetical abortion, so it's not "governmental execution."
Take it- it's yours! :)
That made me make a sound I can only describe as a Snicker-snort.
How does your proposed Pro-Life legislation fit in to your Small Government platform?
Change "son" to "daughter" and I think you're on to something here!
And while I do think it's absolutely racist, I see your point about conservatives not liking CNN. It's like a a hate onion- many layers, each making me cry.
Seriously- my first reaction was shock that someone could be so racist. I'm white. I showed this to my co-worker, and his first reaction was "didn't she see the big camera there?" He's black. I think that says a lot about our differing cultural experiences, and my privilege.
Her action is racist because of context. Calling a white person an "animal" is not the same thing as calling a black person an "animal" because of our cultural history. Robotosaur has explained that, and to disregard the context makes you seem... disingenuous about having an actual discussion.
I've gotta agree with a poster above- even if she meant it as a slam against CNN, her use of the word "animal" in this context makes it racist because the history of racism in this country makes calling a POC an "animal" mean something different than calling a white person an "animal."
