I think a big reason why people don't like AC3 was because Haytham is a more interesting character than Connor and you only get to play as him in the tutorial. AC3 would have been more interesting if the focus was on Haytham and Connor's mom.

It's a bike for special forces and because it's electric it is considerably quieter. That's extremely important when trying to get to a position covertly and not let the enemy hear you coming. That's the whole point.
