I played it last night... I think it has some HUGE potential. The big(ish) open cornfield area was different from anything in the original and the stress of them hunting for you was definitely there.

Well, I believe RE4 was a bad change, but a good game. It paved the way for more action, less atmosphere and less horror (I mean COME ON a vendor selling you guns?!?). This one (7) seems to me like the best change in the series, ever, though.
To me, is this bad boy on my wall

i alway assum anything that appear on TV make big money, even if it doesnt, surely anime earn enough to cover everyone on minimum wage no? Is the studio just maximising profit and exploiting workers or do they just not earn enough to pay decent wage?
Every time I read these games about players trying to find meaning in this game I keep wondering. How have you not figured it out, it’s just another abandoned concept like the dozen others. Move on people until its patched its not worth sinking more time into.
Just gonna post that pic until people start to pay attention to you?
It’s a cheap way of making bosses harder, and results in fights where the only tactic is to brute force your way through. That sort of thing can be ok sometimes, like if an enemy character has been established as little more than a dumb meat shield, but for every single boss fight? That’s crap. And boring.
I’d argue the bullet sponge effect, along with cheating, are two of the bigger issues. The “feel” of even a powerful, upgraded, perfect roll gun is that of a peashooter. Compared to similarly styled action RPGs, it feels slow and chunky, like the player has no real impact or force behind their firearms.
Lol. People are so stupid. Yourself included.
I saw a top post on the subreddit for NMS about a player who named a planet after his mother who had passed within the past month. The planet was named her full name followed by the word memorial. Heavy stuff. Not sure what it might do to me if I did something like that for my grandparents and shared it with my mom..
I’m not an insane fanboy and I haven’t sent Sean any death threats.
He MARKETED a game to people that PAID him for said commodity.
Half-Life 2 has my favorite moment in any game. It’s this:
It’s a shame they’re in this and not, you know, a video game.
So, how do you continue it? How do you continue the game where everyone you know died or was killed by you? Where you yourself became some God/A.I./Alien thing? I’d love to hear an idea from you. I mean, you COULD just follow a different human from the abduction. But that wouldn’t be continuing it. And we already know…
WOLF AMONG US OR RIOT
There is a story there, and all the threads hinting at what is written above are in the game. Personally, I was intrigued from the moment the game began and I realized the doomguy had just emerged from a sarcophagus. I was surprised, but I really did want to know more and happily ate it up.
My theory is that the DOOM marine himself forged his armor in Hell. He went in with green armor, it would make sense that he would ‘modify’ it to keep his quest moving forward - or like you said, someone in hell helped him out for unknown reasons.
Nah. There is a pretty clear attempt within the new Doom to tell a story. The only questions are whether it is intended to tie to previous games and, if so, which ones.
