After America did a poor job by flocking to see Grown Ups 2 instead of this, its such a joy to see the rest of the world picking up the slack and embracing this movie. It's a fucking awesome movie. Clearly not without faults, but you'd be hard pressed to find a bigass life action anime Kaiju Robot movie. Man, makes me

Gained much respect for the man after this. =)

It's funny people were having a fit because of Pacific Rim being compared to other media of the genre (Particularily Evangelion) and people posting defending it the same way you did.

I think the PacRim comparisson above is mostly due to it being recent, not to mention all that rain and dim colors. The mecha reminds me

That was my first thought. Thought it was an article about one of the Pacific Rim games. That movie needs more love.

Pacific Rim much?

EeeeeVaaaaa

Arguing about it is like trying to squeeze water out of stone.

The original series was set in 1998, only 10 years in the future from it's release, and the creators, sensibly, imagined a Tokyo that wasn't wholly different from 1988's Tokyo. Considering that, even in 1988, Tokyo had its

This series is pretty good and I'd really recommend it as well.

The problem isn't that it's free, it's that to continue playing there's often no point at which you stop paying. To enjoy this game the way you'd want to would probably require an investment of way more money than simply purchasing similar FPS games on iOS.
