One of my favorite scenes in Pacific Rim didn't involve robots or monsters. It involved a brief exchange in Japanese.

The rebuild movies mostly follows the plot of the original series (Mostly, new angels, new characters, etc) up until the ending of the second movie, which roughly corresponds with episode 19 or 20 of the anime. Then the Rebuild movies follow it's own continuum. Worth watching, especially because Shinji actually goes…
You could have just said "That is one handsome dude!" and I don't think anyone would call you gay.
This week's Ask Kotaku is special because it features guest host Evan Narcisse, who also happens to be celebrating…
You can skip Death and Rebirth as they are pretty much retellings of the original series, which becomes absolutely moot now that you have the 1.1, 2.2, and 3.3 films.
Ah man, go back and finish the show. The last two episodes are really good if you look at it as a dissection of the characters, but it does throw off the pacing of the series. I would say, finish the series up to Episode 24, then watch the End of Evangelion and then go to Episodes 25 and 26. You will be greatly…
listen to this man.
Don't let that stop you. Only the last two episodes are terrible because the funding was slashed right at the end. However, it was given the ending it deserved in the "End of Evangelion" and "Death and Rebirth" movies.

Whenever I read comments about stacking things on top of consoles, I always want to yell at them that they're idiots. There are reasons why they put fans and vents all over the thing.
Does this company want to make games anymore, or is it just about maintaining Steam? Serious question.
Not really. So far, everything I've seen Evangelion fans claim is a similarity between Pacific Rim and NGE, happened in a previous live action or anime robot or monster series.
Reminds me of when the Hunger Games author said she never heard of Battle Royale.
Any similarities people see are a result of the fact that both Eva and PR draw from the same creative pool of the genre they're drawing from: the mecha genre. Hideaki Anno, in regards to Eva is even quoted as saying that nothing is original anymore and that all he can do is create a new arrangements, and even…
I think you would have to be pretty thick to NOT think its cheesy. But I think a lot people can move beyond that, and enjoy it for what it is.
It's been months since this review and I have seen the film again several times and assure you, no, it is not over my head. I understand it perfectly. I just think it's a horrible contrived movie that insults the viewer.
