One thing I thought was completely unnecessary , was the prolonged horror-like scene, where the crew ends up getting stuck down a ravine, and giant toothy wormed creatures start munching on the crew. Such a change of tone, from adventure and excitement, to a foul dark creature-porn fest.

The best thing about this was, all the awkward character movements at whats supposed to be very cool moments. Thought this would be crap if they tried to copy it perfectly, but glad they went down the hilarity route XD

Fun fact:

I was mostly regarding the recent Toho films for its lacklustre affects and how those films could not even possibly make Godzilla something epic.

Also because, there is nothing epic about watching a man in a rubber suit trying to act like a monster with shoddy CGI in this day and age.

Tbh, I don't know why people keep saying the design should be true to its roots. The first film is so dated, I'm sure most godzilla fans haven't seen it.
