I used to be one of those passive women about abortion; you know the "I get where you're coming from, but I just don't know if that's right for everyone" bland don't-want-to-ruffle-any-feathers girl.

I just put "Gaston" on my iPod. How do you turn away the epitome of manliness?

Didn't we retire this word. It's like an effing weed - it just won't die!

I'm from NJ and this was always the rule that I was taught. You cover your plate, family gets more. Circumstances (student, employment, etc.) skew the numbers a little, both couple and guest understand that...

If thinking that a thoughtless and disgusting sounding gift is not appropriate for a wedding gift, then I guess I am. Part of gift giving is thinking of who you are giving the gift to - so if you're going to go rouge and off the registry, at least put some thought into it.

I'm sorry - I'm with the brides on this one. Your gift should cover your plate and then some. I don't think that $200 is an unreasonable amount of money (depending on the wedding size, venue). I also think that the couple getting married need to keep people's financial situation in mind: i.e. someone out of college

Although I don't agree with her, I don't think she said something so terrible. She was asked and said people should think what will work for them. That's like saying before having gastric bypass surgery, try Weight Watchers...

I commented on the other article (Gawker, maybe) about this commercial and honestly, the only thing that strikes be about this commercial is how darn cute it is. The girl is cute, the Cheerios on his chest is cute... it's just cute all over.

I actually don't know - I think that it's going to have to be Redford. I will have to say that my decision comes less from Gatsby and more from his Dennis Finch portrayal from "Out of Africa." Any dude who washes my hair is a winner.

Can we just say, that in the great "Stubble - HOT or NOT" debate, can we agree that Robert Redford has shut that debate down once and for all. I mean... wow!

I love Jeff Francouer... shitty baseball player or not. Tap away, my friend, tap away.

Hear, hear.

FINALLY! Honestly I don't know when the Republican Platform became solely against Gay Marriage and Pro-Life. It's just utter bullshit that panders to the evangelical right. Enough already! These should be no-brainers and the longer the Republican platform is on the wrong side of these issues, the longer it will

The clean picture of Tom Hardy was mean - that's a TERRIBLE picture.

Barbara Bush as Baby Spice?

I don't see it as the same - it's either allowing for choice or banning options.

Your hypocrisy is overwhelming: to not see the difference between inaction and purposeful obstruction is exasperating. The slut-shaming was a nice touch too - because being a whore is the only reason a woman would want an abortion.

Bets on when Gaga rolls one of these out on the red carpet?

You and I, from behind our computers, cannot directly violate each others rights. If I wanted an abortion, I would not except your direct support.

That's exactly the point - my rights are being limited. I have no problems with people finding abortion immoral. Well - I do, but I understand it. I would never ask someone to change their opinion about abortion. I DO have a problem when that opinion becomes legislation and this right that I'm trying act "within"
