If my assumption is correct, they don’t want to release two versions of the same so they just picked the most feature complete one and used that as the base.

I got into home cameras when I was searching for a good baby monitor. Now I love seeing when someone drops a package at my front door, get notified when I left my garage door open for more than 2 hours, be able to turn off the lights in my bedroom without getting out of bed, and more importantly be able to say “Hey

While I don’t own one and don’t think they’re particularly useful for anything, they’re not surveillance devices. You’re being as ridiculous as the people who wrap their router in tinfoil to get away from its rays.

because despite the concerns over privacy (information people regularly turn over anyways), the gains are often better than the losses.

I pre-ordered this for my girlfriend’s Switch a few days ago and I’m looking forward to playing it. I signed her up on my gym membership a few weeks ago but we’ve only gone together once so far, and I’m hoping this will be the gateway drug we need toward exercising together more.

You would have a better idea if you bothered to research the conflict in Hong Kong and what it’s actually about.

Don’t feel sorry for corporations.  They won’t feel sorry for you.

Most people have relatively low incomes and very little control over the shift of industrial manufacturing to China out of their nations. In the US at least, average incomes are middling and a massive portion of the nation is a few missed paychecks away from being below the poverty line. It’s hard to not buy Chinese

If they’d given a warning or a short ban, they would’ve been fine. They CONFISCATED ALL HIS WINNINGS AND BANNED HIM FOR A YEAR. That’s the kind of stuff you save for violent criminal behavior in America, but anti-government speech like this is treated as violent criminal behavior

The irony that they banned and silenced a Hong Kong protester to avoid any issues, only for this to explode into a massive, international issue involving multiple nations and bipartisan condemnation across the globe is sure something to see unfold.

Yeah, China hasn't been communist in quite some time. It's planned capitalism under a bureaucratic dictatorship.

You know, it’s basically true that companies have to kiss China’s ass to do business there. But the reverse is also true; China has been mor open to allowing foreign things in. And there’s only so much they can ban before they’re back to everything in their country is made by them.

Blizzard could have easily done the cowardly, but generally acceptable thing by making a limp statement like, “Blizzard doesn’t not endorse or condemn the individual opinions expressed by tournament competitors,” or something to that effect. They could’ve given the guy a token warning or minor ban.

Well, Blizzard is for sure not taking live questions at BlizzCon. Which is sad because that’s a hallmark of Blizzard. I also think any of the Blizzard employees that signed up to be on the floor have to be sweating due to awkward questions.

This Blizzcon is definitely gonna be memorable! Eyes closed, head first, can't lose!

As someone who used to do shovelware titles for Nintendo DS (which are def much less expensive than a 3DS AAA title): more than you think.

Japanese companies tend to take care of their employees and almost never do layoffs.  (Source: I work for one, and actually was the reason why I accepted their offer, because of the culture).

Jesus that thing is fugly... I honestly don’t understand that backlash against a boring beige box... something like the Wii but bigger would be perfect

Well I mean one company’s first party games have long shelf life at retail and sell like 3-5M+ on launch day and the other is microsoft, at least during Xbox One era.
