Shhh, away with you. We can't have good things said about Nintendo. Their systems are bad, they only make kiddy games, they should just stick to handhelds and/or sell out to iOS or something, etc. etc.

That's Tywin Lannister, right? That I'm hearing? I'm probably late to the party on this but..

What!?!?! Give it another shot imo :D Either that or grab SF3. (Though 2 is definitely the prettiest of the three).

Fantastic choices, but I'd throw in a Shining Force playthrough. I'd recommend Shining Force 2 for the Genesis, though if you can take the time and get all three discs (and make the fan-translated version), I'd highly suggest Shining Force 3.

Now playing

Pretty sure it is. He was also in this.... :X

My dad used to commute back and forth from DC to southern Maryland every day for work. Along the way, there was this ma and pa video store that we'd rent VHS and video games from. One Friday he went in and found Shining Force for me. Needless to say, that was the day I was hooked on the series. SF2 is definitely

I'm seeing some pretty harsh responses to this. I'm really enjoying these remixes myself. Very Mega Man-y, if you will. Don't get me wrong, I still prefer the great work that Linked Horizon did, but this is still pretty great.

Loved this so much on the NES back in the day. As soon as I heard that they were redoing it, I just had to jump on Kickstarter and make a pledge. I can't wait for it to come out!

Bought it yesterday and enjoying it on my Wii U. Really wish we had more games like these in this world.

Pretty excited about this game. It's always good to have a game that harkens back to childhood. Day 1 Wii U for me.

I want to like this, and it looks cool, but that damn narrator! I immediately think of a South Park voice when I hear him...

Ugh, couldn't stand the english voice cast. (Glad though that we can all have different opinions but still end up liking the same thing!) They just seemed to change the characters too much, both with their voice characterizations, and the dialogue itself being changed in so many different areas. I tried to watch it

Hey, that resistance group was important! We used to have a bunch of friends over on Saturday nights and play "Midnight Gunner", which was just taking our plastic guns and duct taping flashlights to them...flashlight tag in the woods essentially. As the Returners, we had to always win!

Jealous...the only thing I've been able to get so far as a collector's item from the SNES days is a mint condition Chrono Trigger game (Box, manuals, everything). I'd love to get FF 2 and 3 as well..

Damn right! When I first saw the headline and read "20th Birthday"....yipes.

Nope, you are correct - we were completely oblivious to this when we were younger and just simply did a controller swap on different story parts/scenes. We'd also consult each other on what to equip/who learns what spells first, etc.

Best stories and memories....well, growing up, I went from the NES to the Genesis. I had to rely on my RPG fix on the SNES from my best friend Danny. When school let out on Fridays, I'd head to his house (after my parents dropped me off of course) and we'd play all night in his room. We experienced it together, two

Because clearly, graphics and processing power IS EVERYTHING. Regardless though, these are pretty harsh. In bad taste imo.

I was hoping someone was going to post this. This and Chrono Trigger are always the one-two punches in my top games of all time list. Realistic graphics? Who needs them when you have such great character development, memorable scenes, fantastic music, etc. This scene, the opera scene, Cyan's family, the ghost
