I’ll gladly take that over being a fan of the Abrams sequels.
I get that Discovery is a real landmark of representation for several underrepresented groups. I get it.
If they can’t even clear the Big Bang Theory benchmark, then there’s clearly trouble.
Or maybe JJ’s whole thing is that he does sci-fi films like some local digital video school’s demo reel and has no feel for character or narrative?
Not sure about that, but odds are that he could end up on a stage talking to an empty chair. “Goo ger doo woo boo, Skywalker?”
The great irony, of course, is that Bebe Neuwirth is a wonderfully warm and super-talented human being and Kelsey Grammer is... Kelsey Grammer.
Between that and the HIMYM finale, you could write a doctoral dissertation on failing to stick a landing.
If they were smart, they were staying as far away from them as possible.
The biggest problem for The Mandalorian as I see it is that everything has to tie into both the Abramsverse and the Filoniverse, neither of which burden Andor much, because the former didn’t exist in its timeline yet, and the latter only dropped a few Easter eggs and one mercifully short-lived Clone Wars/Rebels…
I would just love it if somehow, some way, Murray Head would make an appearance as Rupert’s even richer older brother who ends up taking him down with Rebecca’s help at the end of the season, and then Murray and Hannah close things out with an epic karaoke of “Nobody’s Side.”
He is 100% not going to prison. He’s guilty as hell, but all he’s got to do is hold on until he can either pardon himself or get one from DeSantis.

While we all appreciate your contribution to the discourse, I am sad to report that it won’t make it any more possible that Johnny will ask you out.
I think people are conflating the vomiting with transphobia because it’s an easy connection - and, it should be noted, in keeping with the pop culture mores of the time and those that preceded them.
I’ve looked high and low for a pre-takeover-AV-Club-style entertainment site with no luck. If you come across one, please let me know. This place is just getting sadder by the second.
Love and Thunder was a mistake, and Taika Waititi hopefully recognizes it. Ragnarok infused the Thor series with some wacky humor and let Chris Hemsworth indulge in his comic instincts, which is why it worked so well (also, Jeff Goldblum paradoxically being the grounding element of the off-planet wackiness). Waititi…
I probably should have used a different phrase than “commercial flop” (although worldwide grosses can often be a bit misleading as to overall quality, considering that Iron Man 3 is the top-grossing entry of the entire character series at $1.3 billion and the eighth highest-grossing superhero movie of all time).…
I’m probably gonna upset the really hardcore comics nerds around here, but I think one way to stave off some of the superhero fatigue is to do more movies like Captain America: The Winter Soldier in between the GotG and Quantumania acid fever dream movies.
