Well, technically Paul conquered the entire Known Universe. He also pretty much doomed humankind to extinction by doing so. There’s a lot more happening than the battle for a planet if you stick it out and it plays out in an incredibly interesting way over the course of the next few books.

I end up reading it every couple of years. Whenever I find myself bored and wanting a good read I end up picking it up, getting hooked and reading all the way through to Chapterhouse:Dune

No, but in a good way. It actually sets up a pretty big conflict for the NEXT book as it’s part one of the AI war. It left me wanting more!

Book 4:The Big Boost is pretty good. I tore through this book incredibly fast, it’s a real page turner. It reminded me a lot of Emerald Eyes in some ways, curious places where there seemed to be almost narrative gaps but it all came together quite nicely and the final section kicks off and just doesn’t let go!
