I read through the thread and I just wanted to come in to agree that, yes, it is much more fun to find a shiny as if it were a lottery.

oh, in that case yeah! I'm more of a 'if it happens it happens' kind of guy and be surprised by it too. But it's also really interesting to see how far down the rabbit hole people can go on this stuff.

Yeah, I can agree with you. I'd never go this insane for a different colored Pokemon. It takes away the surprise and excitement of just randomly getting one and turns it into a monotonous process that drags on for days. I have more to do than breed for a different colored string of numbers and pixels.

It's something early adopters have always had to worry about. But without the internet, it didn't get reported or overblown like it does today

Yeah, it is kind of neat. Curious to see how it'll play out in the long run but something tells me it won't be as universally as loved as the Wii U pad, since the extra expense. Not to mention it's already doable for at least co-op in some Wii U games as well...okay, just Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate that I know of...
