Why not? Both people wanted to reproduce, now they both take a few months of leave to take care of it. What’s the big deal?

Or we should have mandated paternity leave like the Scandinavian countries, so fathers are shouldering some of the career hit for reproducing.

It’s not me, but evidently someone else with excellent taste in snack cakes!! :)

It still seems plausible to me that the punishment did indeed fit the crime- they got a very light sentence for what is definitely very obscene behavior in a country where you can be fined for being alone in a house with someone of the opposite gender that you’re not related to or caned for drinking alcohol. I

I mean, it sounds like they were punished because they violated local obscenity laws, the earthquake bit was just amazingly WTF speculation.

I’m totally nicking “at least no one has ever recalled booze” for my arsenal of rationalizations for why it’s okay to be drinking in questionable moments. :)

THE CORRECT ANSWER IS MOUSE DEER:

I SUPPORT YOUR ACTION FIGURES DECISION

I have never liked a rosé I had in the US, but I went to a friend’s wedding in France and tried some DELICIOUS rosé there. I think the difference was that the US version was way too sweet and the French version was crisp and tart. But maybe you’ve already tried that and you’re just not a rosé person! Just don’t try to

WHAT

Is it possible for you to ask one of the friends or relatives to tell him, without them saying you were in touch with them? It seems like that would give him immediate emotional support and maybe help stabilize him, but without dragging you into this- you absolutely deserve to maintain your no contact rule.

These are 100% my feelings. My place is messy as fuck, but I’m also barely there because I’m out doing things that are more fun, so I don’t really care.

Oh god, he’s so fucking gross in so many ways.

We’ve all been there!! I hope the next time you go out is way more fun and without any creepy people.

It sounds like, to me, that these people deliberately pushed drinks on you to make you more suggestible and less able to take care of yourself. And maybe it was kind of a pain for the bartender to help you, but some amount of dealing with incapacitated drunk people just comes with the job, so I doubt helping you was

Huh? I think we’re in agreement. I’m saying that the people who hold this attitude of “if we pay fast food workers shit wages they’ll be motivated to get an education and get REAL jobs” would piss their pants if that actually happened in reality, because an already insanely competitive job market would be even MORE

Why are we supposed to want all the fast food workers to be desperately trying to push into the already over-saturated market for more highly paid jobs, anyways?
