@LaComtesse: Apparently, only something like 40 pence from every person in the UK goes to pay for the monarchy. The queen has a personal fortune and the Prince of Wales has the Duchy of Cornwall, which is income generating.

@sportz.star: My thoughts exactly. Don't you love that with HBC there's a good chance it could be either?

@Treeless: Yeah, have you read the book they wrote together? They totally disagree on every political issue (so they don't talk politics at home) but they're compatible in every other area.

I actually have a super strange crush on James Carville. Is that weird?

Because gender equality is about what kind of books you read?

I'm not particularly snobby or judgmental about what other people read (as long as I don't glance over and see that they're reading like "How to Blow up a Building in 5 Easy Steps" or something). I just get a thrill over seeing people reading in general.

@rd2uk: Really? When was the last time you saw them photographed with the Earl Spencer?

All your Coco are belong to us.

It's not as though it's just gay oriented websites that the computers block. As a substitute teacher I have spent many hours combing the internets in order to curb my boredom. They also block blogger, all email, google image search, and any website requiring you to sign in for anything. They don't block Jezebel or

@hovy: You know, I actually think she'd be really good in something like that.

I just started doing ads on my blog a couple of weeks ago and only have $30 so far (adsense on blogger). I can't imagine earning anywhere near $40,000 total, let alone in just a month.

Yeah she damn well better be sorry! I sob to think of the countless lives this nation has lost due to head explosion, thanks to countless hours wondering "just how those people do it". Their blood is on your hands, Ms. De Rossi!

She was so great in Marty, a film I only recently discovered. I read up on her afterward and couldn't believe what a fascinating life she led. She'll be missed.

@Steve-Q: Probably because he seems like a genuinely decent person with a lot of his mother's good qualities in him. And uh probably because hating every single white privileged male with no regard for the person inside (and instead concentrating solely on those labels) is a shitty thing to do.

I love that I don't have to watch the movie now, not that I was planning on it. The Snap Judgments kind of tell the story in picture form, complete with a cavalcade of bag wigs.

Not deleting the strikethrough is such a shit thing to do. It's not like someone is going to come back to the site and wonder where the delightful post with the birth and death dates went.

Ha. I don't know about anyone else, but that was definitely my learning to drive experience.

I loved the bigger point of that segment, which is that it's so demeaning when the subject of Mrs. Obama comes up is that all anyone can talk about are her bare arms or her fashion sense. She's an intelligent, educated woman, her husband's equal, and even the people who appreciate that the most keep reverting back to

@popmuzik: YES! My thoughts exactly. I was like what does a picture of SB have to do with an article about Drew Barrymore?
