Ha, he was not Patrick.

That's actually pretty reasonable. My rear view mirror internals got knocked loose by a huge tumbleweed. It cost around $1,400.

I love/d it! But a guy approached me and gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. So I sold it. We're friends now and he keeps me updated on the car. It's one of the lowest mileage V8s around. I bought it from a guy with a huge collection and he only had 32k miles on it.

When I picked up my Phaeton in Phoenix, I drove next to one of these along the way to Vegas. It was quite a sight, a Rally Fighter and a Phaeton, in the middle of the desert.

Please let there be one made from a Citroen C6.

La Cascada on the Chilean-Argentine border. Great food and beers. Local car/truck shows. Great scenery. Dakar posters on the walls. Plus, old timey toilet.

Luxury tax. For reals.

There is a documentary called Yank Tanks. It is a must-see. Cubans knead asbestos with their hands, and then bake it to make brake pads!

I think I speak for many loooong time Jalopnik fans when I say we appreciate the tight ship you're running. Keep up the great work, Matt.

Raphael never jokes.

A trolley bus just blew up in Volgograd. 15 dead.

I was not impressed with the quality of the seating surfaces. I agree, the cream interior looks better.

But imagine if VA, NC, and SC (the area between DC and ATL) were Chechnya, Ingushetia, etc.

It's relative because for a small Central American country, 600 miles is far. For example, three countries separate Belize from Costa Rica. Volgograd, on the other hand, is just north of the restive Caucasus region and gets a spillover of the terrorism from there.

Okay, okay, okay. I read you loud and clear! :)

Please keep these geopolitical posts coming. Here is a tip: new Geely used by Syrian rebels to tow mortar.

They couldn't have picked a more volatile area. Look at Sochi on a map.

It was just bittersweet to see a likable sportsman retire.

Yup. Only time I have ever choked up watching sports.
