I gotta say, my 1LE 3rd gen handles pretty comparably to the base-suspensioned C4 I owned.
I owned and '8 vette. There was a wide range of suspension options for the C4.
Until it no longer functions as a comfortable method of transportation. Since it's a GM SUV, that's likely to be a long time, but it's a newer one that is a bit different than the really reliable ones and it's still up in the air on long term reliability.

This won't work on a modern Chevrolet Malibu, according to the service manual, you need to remove the front wheels, fender liners, and front bumper to start. If you're smart you can get the bumper off without removing the fender liners.
