I-5 between the grapevine and Sacramento. Miles and miles of mostly unpatroled highway. Limit is 70, and in the daylight there are plenty of cars pushing 90.

They are worth it, but at their current age, I feel like they need to be rebuilt before they can be truly enjoyed.
Nope, mine is #579. I'm the second documented owner (have the original sales documents), the first owner let it sit in his driveway for several (5?) years rotting away. It appears that it was sitting because it wouldn't pass smog. It's now completely legal.
It may be in sad condition, but it looks salvageable. No need to feel bad as long as it goes to a good home.
They were timid on Saturday. But understanding that they've been at it for a few days, they were still polite.
Not a single Pontiac available. But I can get a C4, so there's that.
I could run my photography business out of one of these.
Wow, for the price I recommend a a Pelican 1510 LOC. Virtually indestructible, and holds a 15" MBP (won't hold a 17).
It's on my list, along with re-soldering a few of the connections.
My Trans Am has standard analog gauges. My Corvette has the digital stuff.
I have one of these. It's a nifty gimmick, prone to failure though like a lot of electronics from the 80s. Mine needs to be rebuilt.
That's easy, a house.
Once again, I'm considering not going to the LA auto show because you guys cover it so well.
You have a good point. There is more money on the table than I made allowances for. But I was mostly responding to the original list. With the exception of the house (because that's more important to me than another car), the list I proposed is a 1:1 response to the article.
90% of the rentals on Maui are Jeeps and Mustang convertibles. I need to move there and start a Miata rental business.
I could buy my top 3 new cars for $250k, I'm not a fan of italian sports cars.
Not being from New York, I don't know what that means. Probably not a good neighborhood?
Haha, I've been on that one too. Try going after a hard rain, the road is littered with boulders.
I agree with the house, $500k would make me very comfortable where I am here in LA. But I could easily exceed $5mil for something fancy here too. My parent's place on a certain Hawaiian island is well south of $5mil and is very nice too. There is definitely a huge range here. $5mil would buy a small town in rural…
I'm speaking from a lower-middle income perspective. Of course you could go all out, and "stimulate the economy". Heck, with the money you might even be able to bail out Hostess (and get more for your money than the Veyron)
