In developed countries like mine, broadband internet is not available everywhere. Also doesn't change that there are people who want to use Blu-Ray disks.
Because there are people who want to be able to write Blu-ray disks, people who don't have the bandwidth or internet connection to download entire movies. It's still a modern storage medium.
Spec updates are a given.

Stamp collecting. Someone find the Family Guy clip.
I was going to say "Suburban" but you've beaten me to it.
Yes, because if someone likes something you don't their a fanboy! There's a good logical way to dismiss the points of someone you disagree with.

Don't buy an iPad for everyone in the family. The ad doesn't mention children, or multiple iPads. The ad shows that the couple bought three devices between the husband and wife. I'm not buying my kids tablets at all, they don't need them.
My iPad can replace the functionality of my laptop. It's not a bogus statement. I can do word processioning, spreadsheets, presentations, surf the web, game, watch movies, even edit photos and video. Whether or not you want to use an iPad as a replacement for a laptop is up to you, but I do it. And I haven't had…
ONE Fire can hold my library of music and movies totaling over 10GB? AND run an extensive number of games an apps from a large, well established marketplace? AND capture photos and video? AND edit photos and video? AND run for nearly 12 hours with WIFI on? AND basically replace my need for a laptop in almost…
Lame ad is lame.
Easily overcome via planning and preparation.
