No that is completely false. I admit I felt the same way about this issue but there are tons of videos of women getting harassed that are scary. If a woman turns a man down on the street, getting punched or stabbed is not out of the question.

When Lucas changed it so Greedo shot first, it ruined the character arc for Han. When Han shoots first the arc is Han is kind of morally ambiguous and becomes a better person. When Greedo shoots first you get Hans a good guy who stays a good guy.
