As opposed to io9's upcoming we-already-decided-it-sucks-because-we-hate-everything review? Bias goes both ways...

Geez, seriously. Do you like anything???

Congratulations on the promotion. This is probably late to the party/bound to be ignored anyway, but I have one request of you as the new EIC here. Please, please, PLEASE tone down the negativity on this site? Charlie Jane Anders seemed to hate everything for a significant period of time here. While she toned it down

White people don’t need to be asked to approrpiate other cutures, they are pretty good at doing it on their own with no consideration for those cultures.

What gets me is how, on this level, it starts to resemble the brain’s neural network and pathways...

It’s called A Midsummer’s Nightmare and I think we can all agree that TV was a noble experiment, but it’s over now.

Eh, I attribute this to frustration. Watchmen definitely didn’t lack in dialogue. Snyder is usually a much better interviewee... Look at his interviews where he tries to explain Man of Steel vs Goyer’s awful, condescending interviews. Not trying to be defensive here, I just know that Snyder has a good history with

The superman v batman movie that clocks at 2.5 hours has 42 short lines for superman.

I feel that I need to thank The Expanse for showing me how to properly pronounce Ceres... Seer-es, not Seh-rus. :)

Snyder gave an interview where he stated he thinks people in costumes having dialogue together is dumb and that he prefers to just avoid any dialogue as long as costumes is involved.

I actually appreciate the level headed way that you bring up your issues. I see it as kind of the opposite as you (coming from someone who had real issues with Man of Steel’s script). I thought that, while the movie mostly had a Superman and Batman that we really didn’t know, it did a great job of building them up to

>Im still dismayed at HOW bad BvS was.

It makes sense why this one wasn’t used. It’s really hard to recognize either of them at first glance. Your eye needs to drift too far up and to the left to get the biggest clue that blonde-guy is Captain America, and Iron Man’s armor is shredded beyond immediate recognizability. It might be fantastic art for a fan,

Word so far is that Trevorrow is just directing with Rian Johnson writing. If that’s the case, I’m good with it... My issues with JW were with the writing, not the directing.

For me, at least, it’s because there is no other site that I’ve found that covers the breadth of geek-culture topics that I like. It just sucks that that coverage is filled with hate and bile, io9 especially.

This is exactly a problem. Last year, I went to go see Guardians of the Galaxy at one of AMC’s dine-in theaters. It was an awful experience, even beyond a jackhole in front of me texting and not being told to stop. It was beyond annoying to be constantly badgered if I wanted anything else (they have a light I could

Just because Tomasi wrote some Batman books for awhile doesn’t mean that he won’t be a fantastic fit for Superman. Writers CAN be good with both, and Tomasi has proven to be excellent at handling DCU characters, in general. Just see his fantastic Nightwing run for proof of that... This story is in good hands.

>>Why was Batman so pissed off that Superman had the power to destroy the Earth that when faced with a creature who actually could destroy the Earth his instinct was to draw that creature toward the middle of fucking downtown?

I’m genuinely starting to wonder if there is anything that io9 likes anymore. This is getting ridiculous, seeing so many headlines hating the culture that brings so many fans here.

Seriously, THIS is one of the terrible consequences of this culture of being offended by everything. DON’T be afraid to write. Please. You will inevitably offend someone. The best thing that you can do is to do your best by your own sensibilities. If non-appropriation is important to you, then do the research that you
