The headphones themselves can work for the 3.5 or 5 hrs.  Their charging cases provide the longer times.  You just have to wait for them to charge in the case.

You say, several times, the battery life is abysmal...any actual numbers on what can be expected when not gaming with it? Obviously gaming on battery is just a non-starter.

Kind of how I feel. I want one...no doubt about that. I think it will sell pretty well for the novelty, might get some big name developers in there. But it will be quickly forgotten and games and support will die off relatively soon after.

You can. I started Project Stream using keyboard and mouse and then went to XBONE controller on my laptop. Their unveiling presentation even says you can use just about any input device including keyboard and mouse.

I tend not to disagree with you. I played project stream and really enjoyed the experience. I see streaming as the future of gaming. But my biggest fear is Google’s penchant for big launches and then abandoning an idea.

Did you try the Project Stream beta? My experience wasn’t that at all with AC:Odyssey. It plays the same from their network as it does on a local machine. My biggest problem was some occasional compression artifacting. No noticeable controller lag...for me at least.
