So I understand. The more I watch the older RTD eps, the more I see what an enormous farce he was trying to turn it into.

Honestly, Derek Jacobi made a better Master than John Simm, with all the scenery-chewing going on in the RTD era. I know he was supposed to be crazy, but I preferred a sinister, calculating Master to batshit lunatic.
