Those are made in the US, right?

Packaging? The LSx is a much smaller engine than the W16 in every dimension.

The way to check to see if the transmission was empty of fluids but there wasn't a leak coming from anywhere. Should be pretty telling that someone forgot to fill it back up. Forgetting something that important will definitely be grounds for getting fired at lots of dealerships.

Is this if you only have one bullet to hunt as many deer as possible?

The solution is obvious to have more people designing and building robots. With enough robots, we can all live our lives without having to go to work at all.

What blows me away is the sheer economy of it all. For instance, last year I bought an engine hoist from harbor freight, the same one as the picture above. Do you see that fucking price?

So this is encouraging passing on the right?

I'm pretty sure you are wrong about the kilowatt figure. A small 6hp gas powered electric generator can produce 3kw of electricity. A whole ship can't run on the eqivalent of a 46 horsepower engine (search 35 kilowatts to horsepower in google).

I think the distance problem is a beam focusing issue. So focusing 2 units on a single spot would probably be more difficult than just one by itself. You would probably want 3 cannons spaced about 2 km apart in a triangle to get a larger effective bubble around what you're protecting.

Not to mention you would probably charge a large bank of capacitors with a small amount of power over time to unleash it in a short burst. It probably would overhead the laser to run it continuous anyways.

A nuke can be shot out of the sky with other existing defensive missile systems. They already have something for longer range interception of ICBMs. This is more to protect a FOB from random mortar and artillery fire.

Soooo has anyone tested it as an anti personnel weapon? I always hear about these lasers being used defensively, but it seems like it would be pretty demoralizing to watch your buddy get lasered from a vehicle 2 miles away. It would be like a sniper rifle with no windage, bullet drop, corealis effect, etc. Also,

Needs more hair pulling.

This was my favorite tank in Battlefield Vietnam

LOL tuned for torque is the dumbest car guy misconception I've ever heard.

He probably disabled it to get MOAR PRESSURE!!!!

Someone wasn't being too safe...

"this is for shaking hands"

To the guys who have never ridden a sportbike: they are much quicker than you ever even thought was possible. I can only assume that Chris has never ridden a liter class bike before.
