Well, this is the worst gaming news I've heard in a while.
I worked at a Gamestop as my part time job when I was in college 9 years ago. You probably didn't actually see them sell a used game as new. Gamestop doesn't, or at least didn't, receive display boxes for games - so they have/had a practice of taking new games and "gutting" them (opening new copies and taking the…
I wish they had gone with a fresh continuity for this game. Despite the "Rebirth" title it apparently still continues the story and universe of the previous games. It seems contrary to it's goal of being a game that will appeal to new players and a larger audience.
The more important survey: Do you insist that Roman numerals are used for the number, or are you not a pedantic twit :)
I agree, same with those Star Wars prequel "critique" videos that were popular a while back. Nitpicky about minutiae to the nth degree, and failing to make any meaningful criticism about the broader issues that actually make it an unentertaining movie.
Worth noting - if you choose to get the HD collection for PS3 - prepare to be disappointed by the port quality. While it looks pretty good on the surface, it's absolutely packed with minor bugs that add up to make it a pretty compromised re-release.
Getting ePSXe setup is much more effort than replacing music files. It may ultimately yield arguably better graphics, but only after a lot of futzing around and invested effort.
The PC version's music *never* sounded like the PSX version. Which is better or worse is a matter of taste, but I don't think the Yamaha software synth was as great as your time-sugar coated memory thinks it was. I fully agree that the soundtrack included in the new PC version stinks, but when it's so easily…
The fact that the soundtrack is just MP3 files means they're easy to replace with better versions if you want (and there are already packs out there to that end). That's hardly worse than the original port which used MIDI directly and could sound like crap due to varying quality of PCs MIDI support or emulation.
Which is why it's bullshit that some developers attach the equivalent of exclusive pre-order bonuses to their Kickstarter drives. Extras and items you can only get by being a backer.
I hate the term overrated. It implies your opinion is the correct one and that everyone else is wrong on a completely subjective topic...which is stupid.
Flash media is still several orders of magnitude more expensive to produce than optical discs - that's the most pertinent reason by far.
Homeworld is pretty much my favorite game of all time, but that's not enough to make me drink the fan Kool-Aid on this.
How long do you plan to own the car? VW warranties the powertrain for 6 years/60,000 miles now.
The GTI isn't a sports car. It's daily driver with a good amount of utility that happens to be a lot more fun to drive than an econo-box or luxo-yacht. So refinement does matter because it will be driven day-to-day.
Does viewing porn automatically make a man a misogynist? Does it mean they can't respect women in real life?
Hold on a sec there guy. The Kickstarter was mostly certainly NOT from the creators of the series. It was by some dude that does web design, was a fan of the game, and had no experience in game development. He made all these promises that he did not have the resume or experience to back up - which is why the…
So spring traps, rat swarms, walking a guy in front of his own projectile, weapons with lots of kick back and great sounding reports, blast waves, intricate sword fighting animations, and many more...vs sneaking up behind a guy and hugging him or shooting a dart. Come on man, that almost objectively borders on being…
It's a video game, the ultimate goal is to be entertaining. The lethal abilities are far, far more numerous and entertaining than the non-lethal ones. The developers obviously invested significantly more effort in making the lethal abilities fun to use, but then essentially tell the player he or she was "wrong" to…
