Better yet, have DRM-removal patches ready to go after a game has been out 6+ months and there's little point to it being so heavily protected anymore.

Yes because Mojang is such a poor company that they can't hire proper translators for a game that has a couple dozen lines of text...

I tried playing the game on PS2 when it originally came out. I gave up on it after it started dropping to single digit framerates in the realm of the dead (or whatever they called it).

I'm sure that's with crazy European taxes included. Golf R in the US starts at $33,900. The US model is ever so slightly decontented versus the European version, but not enough to account for a $30,000 price difference.

Yeah there's an echo in here, but I don't think bringing games to Origin that you can already buy on better liked (and simply better) digital distribution stores is going to do much for them.

*Yawn* Take your trite, navel gazing PC elitism and cram it. I've been playing nothing but PC games since Wing Commander, the last console I owned was a Playstation 1, and suggesting that the interface and graphics (which are fine) in Skyrim makes it not worth playing on PC is critically lacking in perspective and

You put Skyrim on the 360 list and not on the PC list. Seriously?

The game stopping bug in Skyward Sword that recently required Nintendo to create a new channel just for game updates comes to mind.

"If you would like to argue that the soldiers in Battlefield 3's multiplayer are conveying fear of being raped in general, which is not homophobic, versus fear of being raped by men, which is decidedly homophobic, you are arguing that they are expressing fear of being raped by someone other than a man."

Damn Mythbusters rocket sled. Any other sort of car destruction I now see is so significantly underwhelming in comparison that I can't appreciate it.

Dear Esther is not a mod, though it started as one. They licensed the engine and are releasing it as a standalone game for purchase.

Agree. The author is doing more to perpetrate negative homosexual stereotypes than the game is by saying forced sodomy = homosexuality.

Being able to download old versions is only a benefit when companies put out bad patches - which is a situation that shouldn't happen in the first place. It seems kind of backwards for Steam to go to the trouble of maintaining multiple versions of games on their servers because of EA's incompetence at properly

I knew about these (from Top Gear), but never knew the rear seating was raised like that. Not having room to slide your feet even a little bit under the front seats seems like a significant flaw. That toe space is actually pretty critical for comfortable leg position in cramped rear seats.

This is news? 3DMark 11 came out in December 2010.

Wow really? All this time I thought it was just a joke and that objects didn't affect line of sight and only level geometry did like most other games. If objects affect an NPC's LOS that's pretty cool.

Apart from the overlay incompatibilities, the SMAA injector has consistently yielded impressive results on anything I've tried it with, certainly better than using the FXAA injector, and even better than at least one game with native FXAA, Skyrim, as mentioned. And it's doing so without any specific tuning for each

I should have clarified: the DX10 version seems to play nicely with overlays, the DX9 version does not. Since Just Cause 2 is only DX10 and you must be using the DX10 injector, that explains it ;)

The blurring of textures with FXAA is actually pretty significant compared to some other forms of post-process AA.

You say you walk away from the game and let it play itself like that's a good thing...
