Agreed.

Like all of BD's stuff, this amazes me. Blows previous humanoid robots like ASIMO out of the water in terms of movement.

Now playing

Certainly not the best, just something I capture myself. My favorite part here is around 0:30 when the car hits the wall, if you're watching in HD, you can see that screws/bolts are in the particles thrown off from the collision with the wall.

My choice as well. Basically any Mustang with a cologne V6, especially with a slushbox.

How does player gender matter in Bioshock? Considering the player character in Bioshock has no dialog and the only thing you see of them is their hands, the PC identity is largely meaningless - so, yes that game could play out *exactly* the same if the character was female. They'd just have to change the opening

So you're saying it's not a black character unless the game is specifically written around them being black?

"But to play as a black woman, to inhabit and play as someone is similar to my real life identity? I've had five opportunities in twenty-two years. And that's if I count characters that are biracial, characters that appear in reflections, and one tan colored viera."

The guy harps on there not being a backstory for why the different bandit clans have different accents. Are you kidding me? Honestly, what a pedantic twit.

It's probably not fair of me to judge the quality of the story at this point. It being an MMO, there's a lot more walking, fighting, and filler quests between getting significant "story chunks" than you'd have in a more deliberately placed single player RPG. I put about 10 hours into a single class (Smuggler) over

...and when you get out of that story area you go back into a world where a bunch of other people are running around talking to the same people you're talking to, doing the same things you're doing, walking around with the same companion character.

She's not ugly, but yeah, whoever gave her that haircut she's sporting with the leopard print should be imprisoned for crimes against humanity.

"Homeworld (which itself owes a lot to Battlestar)"

Just FYI, you could already lower difficulty in the original release of the game, but you could not raise it back up again. This lead to complaints from people who lowered difficulty to get past a tough section, but then were stuck with a difficulty they found too easy in other parts.

Right reasons, definitely. Whenever I died in the game and I never felt like it was the game's fault and never felt like I couldn't correct my mistake. Playing on Normal difficulty was challenging but not frustrating.

Kotor's characters were not "cut-outs in depth". And if you're citing Deus Ex as an example of good writing, well then I really wouldn't put much faith in your adjudication of writing.

You critically misunderstand why people like Kotor. Kotor was one of the first RPGs with high quality voice acting and decently written dialog for all characters. As a result it was one of the first games where whole heaps of people empathized with and actually cared about the characters in the game. Additionally,

Pro-tip: nail polish remover. Acetone is a solvent for super glue. I always keep a bottle on hand for just that purpose.

Generally speaking, what kind of guys do you think populate the video game programming industry? And how do you think they get treated by girls and women as they're growing up? Do they see many examples of them valuing intelligence or do they see them fawn over the jocks that are bullying them?

Do an image search for 'king crab' and you'll see there aren't any missing legs here. The 5th set of legs are tucked into the abdomen and used for mating only.

Knowledgeable staff? What stores are we talking about here? If you're relying on the opinions of register jockeys are Gamestop to pick games for you - you're doing it wrong.
