Peeta was my favorite character throughout the series. I was so disappointed with how desperate they made him seem in the film. Also I felt like the love triangle was sort of forced. When I initially read the books—I thought something was developing between Gale and Madge—I'm sort of annoyed that it wasn't explored.

Feast of All Saints is underrated, and some of her other work is pretty good. Don't know if that's the case here, but I find the people who insult her writing haven't read her work.
