She had more votes cast for her than any other candidate in U.S. history, besides Barack Obama. She beat Donald Trump in the popular vote by over a million votes. She did not fail to inspire people to vote for her.

Our President-elect is a favorite of right wing terrorists and despots the world over. But you know, everyone should understand that you valued not having to do something you didn’t feel like doing over the health, safety, and livelihood of your fellow countrymen. It’s not like you could’ve saved millions of people

Nope. Never going to feel bad about shaming people for staying home. Voting is a civic duty and you decided it was one you difn’t want to fulfill. You made your choice, you don’t get to dictate how other people feel about your choices.

That’s impossible because your time is worthless.

God it’s so fucking COOL to be irreverent. SO COOL. Teach me your ways, oh wise one.

Democracy is hard. Moreso than any other kind of government, it requires an informed populace, freedoms of speech and the press, and for people to show up. That last one is the hardest part.

Trump can appoint at least 1 SCOTUS Justice, and quite likely more. Bye Roe v. Wade.

Scolding is what you do to children. You made your choice, and now you get to deal with the consequences of that choice. I hope whatever you were doing that night was worth it.

It’s infuriating.

Don’t argue about why she lost.

Stop.

Right? What’s worse: that Trump was looking at Carson for a position, or that Carson declined? Trump should take the hint and peace out before the hard shit starts.

I’m sure Mike Pence has just been telling them that they’re wrong to transition.

“In addition to reports of “knife fight”-like internal discord...”

The IMDB Parents Guide for this movie is decent reading.

“Most of these horrible claims against Trump are all based on what he said, only words.”

Um, Trump having zero track record in government is (or should be) a negative.

You register to vote. Then you show up on the day at the appropriate polling location, you say “hi, I’m so and so,” they look to see if you’re on their list, and then they let you vote. The idea that there is any meaningful practice of people showing up at a polling place and falsely assuming the identity of a person

Because it suppresses the minority vote, in that minorities are statistically less likely to possess the kind of photo IDs required. For instance, if you live in an urban area or are too poor to afford a car, you likely don’t have a driver’s license.

In person voter fraud is also exceedingly rare. Think about how

You provide your ID or proof of residency when you register. Then when you get to the polls you just give them your name and sign a piece of paper and they hand you your ballot. The voter ID is an additional, intrusive step into the process, making it harder to vote when we should be making it easier.
