Right... is there some sort of reasoning they would have made such a device as opposed to just using the cord/rope whatnot that the garrote was tied to? I’ve watched a few specials now (not the CBS one though) and I feel like its a aspect that is swept under the rug more with theories that the family was covering up

I never believed the theory that Burke did it. Can somehow who does believe this explain the presence of the garrote? If you’re staging the death of your child, why stop to make such a thing? Isn’t that used to create more force? Why would that be needed when she was already dead? I just don’t get that?

Exactly. There was anger and force behind the strangulation. I just don’t see the parents doing that. There was no need if she was already gone.

YAS!! My Favorite Murder is amazing! I listen at work, lol.

Yup, I am with you on this. The A&E doc-as one sided as it was-went into the garrote and strangulation in depth. Strangling someone takes an incredible amount of force. The pics of her neck were horrible to see, but really drove home the fact of the intensity of the act. There was no need for them to do that with

I heart you, Mental Iceberg.

wasn’t it Luann and then the next night Sonja?

The hug at the end! Carole was trying to get in, and was awkwardly shut out. My kingdom for that in a gif!

I used the phrase Cunt Punt just this afternoon. It’s still gold.

Girl there are TRUMPS RIGHT BEHIND YOU! RUN!

well yes, Ryan Murphy and co. aren’t new at this. Still, not a fan of the idiot damsel in distress. So played out.

Agreed. I have watched all seasons, but part of that was unemployed and pregnant binge watching in the middle of the day when I had nothing else to do. I hate gore for gores sake. Each season has some high and low points, except for Freak Show. That was just straight up garbage.

the middle hillbilly’s teeth were pretty comical. But thats about it. Also, Hi Chaz Bono!

The only salvageable part was Jessica Lange’s performance of Life on Mars.

I want to love this, but Lily Rabe/Sarah Paulson’s character is the stereotypical idiot women in ever horror movie so far. Fucking teeth rain down...Eh no biggie. Husband goes away on business, leaving you alone in your new, creepy house...byeeeeee I’m cool. Said new creepy house has a very modern spiral staircase....o

Fuck. This is going to haunt me for the rest of the day. For the record, I’m going with PETS and not meat.

She is my imaginary celeb bff. There. I said it. PS, HAPPY ENDINGS NEEDS TO COME BACK.

This moment really captures the beautiful hypocrisy of Dorinda Medley. She is deeply concerned with an appearance of intelligence, propriety and honesty and she expects everyone else to cover for her in public

How did I miss this?!! That is so Jared.
