He doesn’t say he’s Deacon, but he has unique lines every time that basically hint he’s not really what he claims to be. Like “I love coming here to trade for, uh...trading stuff.”

Gosh, I wasn’t planning on getting home from work just to spend 30 minutes crying nonstop...

...why?

But that’s like listening to Led Zeppelin when you could be listening to Arcade Fire/Sparks/The Rolling Stones/etc.

Yeah, but the problem is you giving advice to everyone else that those should cause them to run away, whereas you make it sound like it’s just a personal preference for you. I mean, I don’t like guys who wear sweater vests, but I wouldn’t say that means people should avoid dating them.

What if they’re incredibly socially awkward and anxious and have major trouble making friends because of it?

Did you just become 12 years old in the space of one post? I can’t tell how much is self-aware self-deprecation and how much is genuine.

Players who want mash-x-to-win games with a faux-deep battle system are stupid dumbos. I love arguing subjective things objectively. You can try to retort, but you’re objectively wrong, so don’t even bother.

Hello from the future!

I miss those days when 6-7/10 didn’t mean “horrible” and a game needed 8s and 9s to be fun. I’m still of the belief that “5" should be ‘average’, less should be negative and more should be positive. A 6/10 game should still be fun, just not “great”.

Maybe you should visit a pure news site instead of a blog site, then.

I just showed my 15-year old nephew episode IV for the first time in his life the other day and he thinks it’s kickass, so I think assumptions shouldn’t be made no matter what. Not only adults, but people who genuinely like movies will be able to see past effects.

Really? This isn’t even an unpopular opinion. Why are people so damn hostile about people having opinions different to theirs nowadays?

Holy cow, everything you said applies to Fallout 4, m8. The writing in that game is horrendous (the story is bland, generic, cliché and the dialogue is atrocious), there’s no choices, 95% of quests are recycled and variants of “go into building, shoot things, leave building”, buggy to an absurd extent, strips away

This is a bizarre argument to me. Do I think 43-year old women are playing AAA games? Well, my mom’s turning 62 this year and plays console games. My older sister’s 39 and I was just playing her copy of Just Cause 3 last night. My other sister is 29 and hates games.

Okay, that's fine. :]

Orrr they’re someone who’s a huge fan of the Fallout franchise who wants to complete it because it’s a Fallout game? I mean, I love Zelda games so much that I played through the CD-i ones despite loathing every second. I also beat Fallout 4 and think it’s terrible, but I’m invested enough in Fallout lore that I wanted

Yes! Why don’t they ever link to Cr1TiKaL?!

I agree, but then that’s the fate we have to suffer if we want to play Bethesda games. :P

...really?
