There's always lulls in new releases, especially if you're a picky gamer. I work on my backlog during those lulls. I'll pick up those new games later on, unless it's something I really REALLY want to play on release (like Dark Souls 2).

for me, if I had ANY passing interest in a game, I'll buy it. Why? Because if I never play it, it's just $1-$5 wasted, even if I play it for an hour, it's usually worth that much.
