you're doing gods work son
you're doing gods work son
high res pic of the one on the left, anyone?
exactly, people asking this question are at a very fundamental level simply saying that games are somehow less worthy of your free time than other hobbies, which is just pants on head retarded
oh yeah, I mean, they still hand out benzodiazepene like candy over there don't they? (i'm a little jealous on this because I actually need some for anxiety but my doctor here in the UK refuses to give me any)
a lot of people in the US are addicted to that oxycontin aren't they? I have a friend in NC who said his ex-girlfriend would spend her whole paycheck on some and just get high on it all weekend. it's legal, but no doubt way more dangerous than weed :/ which, sadly, is illegal..
oh so it's not life-ending on a global scale?
yeah it's a thing now apparently, or at least, media is trying to make it a thing. I guess it gets hits.
yeah, but his point still stands, the chances of an intelligent species being just 2k years behind our current technology is probably quite slim, but given the size of the galaxy, or the universe, i'm sure there are some planets out there with civilizations just like that. there's probably quite a few that are exactly…
except we're at a point now where we have a pretty good scientific understanding of physics and there probably isn't some magic undetectable transmission, you can draw paralelles with ancient tribes and such all day long about how they think they knew everything aswell, but there isn't some unlimited ceiling of…
Oh I just posted this myself. Yeah, I think it could easily be this. Just because we can imagine FTL and such in science fiction doesn't necessarily mean it might someday be attainable given even millions of years, it may simply just be impossible to get feasible interstellar travel going. It sucks =(
I think for a race to get advanced they would have to have an innate curiosity, otherwise how else would they have become so advanced without curiosity to invent things?
Is it not possible that interstellar travel just isn't feasible no matter how advanced you get?
weird I don't remember a scene like that from the movie
I hope so..
this
nice!
nose, lip and chin jobs?
they had them in JP3 didn't they at the start? those little ones? or was that something else
how come this whole "gaming is/is not art" thing is only a recent thing? I knew this back when I played FF7 and crying when aeris died that it was much more than "just a video game".
you realize of course that the reason why we are looking for alien life "like us" is because they will be producing radio signals and such with which to detect them? it seems like you think you've had some realization that nobody else has had or something, everyone *knows* there's probably life out there that isn't…
