I think it's sad that you have to explain yourself like that, on io9 of all places. This should be the one place where people can enjoy a movie like this without feeling like they have to defend it to the teeth.

I only recently watched this show aswell, just a couple weeks ago infact. I really liked it, and I still find myself thinking about it weeks later, it stays with you for sure.

That's a bad way to give information about the game world to the player. You're supposed to set them up with a basic premise, the setting, the characters, major players, and then throughout the game you give them more information in the way of interaction and things happening in order to transfer the lore to them

except if you play a game like this enough you can predict exactly what people will do.

yeah, a slice through your palm is going to sting for days, and every time you open your hand any healing that had taken place is going to be ripped open.
