A lot of people don’t understand that privacy extends after a person dies. My mom is an ME and she frequently gets people asking if they can view an autopsy, as though it’s a form of entertainment. She always explains that no, they can’t, that the person being autopsied is someone’s loved one. She performs autopsies

Put in under “duty to rescue” legislation. If instead of attempting to help, you take pictures, you violate the DTR.

I think another sick, selfish part of it is the hope that you’ll be the one getting the “scoop”. That your news will go viral, that it will be featured in the news stories, that your tweet will be quoted...it’s the age of everyone being a roving reporter without any of the ethics.

I want to know what has happened to the human brain in the past 15 years to make people take photographs of everything - the plate of food they’re about to eat, they’re reflection in every mirror, and now murder victims? I don’t understand how people can see a woman who was brutally attacked and dying or dead and

People disgust me. To take and post pictures or videos of a murder victim is sick and twisted. If there is not a law to charge those people under, then there should be one.

WHO TAKES A PICTURE OF THAT? People are fucking sick.

No words to express my horror at peoples’ lack of decency. This goes beyond a lack of decency - everyone who posted pictures of her should be arrested. Peoples’ need to one-up each other with shock value on social media has gone too far, it’s sick and perverted.

Heh

My father was a helicopter pilot in the Army. It was the mid/late 80s so he’d leave for 4 months at a time to go to Honduras and Ecuador. When he’d be home for a few months, I’d greet him in the driveway with a beer so he couldn’t be called away to fly again. I was in elementary school.

When I was very little (ages 3 - 6) my Dad worked evenings & nights and it made my sister and me really sad.

I can totally understand. It must be scary to have mom turn to you an be all “It’s Britney, bitch”

My parents worked at home and I spent my entire childhood dreaming of the day I could get away from them.

Stalking is the same threat and intent at a different stage of escalation. If the damn police have to wait till someone with murderous intent has already broken into your house to take it seriously, women will continue to live in fear because of ineffective laws.

I take it you’ve never been stalked before. Good for you.

Gunter was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary, as well as lesser charges for violations of the restraining order and stalking.

I’m surprised you weren’t there.

Exactly. Calling kids fucking idiots when you're literally the one who is supposed to be educating them... Says so much more about the teachers, really. This is more than blowing off steam, these are nasty remarks.

You know, if it were just teachers making sarcastic, exasperated remarks and blowing off steam, I would think nothing of it. But to refer to children as fucking idiots and hope they fail—while being part of the group that can actually make that happen—goes too far. I had a teacher who had it out for in 7th grade and
