@boyracer: The irony here beign that the "flat black" part of this would appear to be the palm rest, and the glossy bit up top that we still can't see would be the touch part. Most manufacturers don't put their logos upside down on the top. Rightside up at the bottom edge, I'll believe.

@Glanton: I appreciate Dieter Rams and his work, and think he's a genius- but I'm sure that there's at least one other industrial designer in the past 50 years.

@Ramza69: I completely agree. I had high hopes for the gameboy translation, but it was miserable. I'm trying to convince myself that it was the gameplay, and not just me pining for the long-ago past- but I can't be sure.

That lead picture looks like an old SNES box, for some reason. Artwork surrounded by a black band, the streak of floor at the right looks like the red stripe...

I still can't believe there's not a decent blackberry nethack. It seems like a perfect fit.

Odd fact:

I traded my copy of SMRPG for a copy of Chronotrigger via the interwebs back in the day. It's amazing what a fair trade that has turned out to be, even given the perspective of time.
