I'm afraid I don't see the similarities, nor do I think they were trying to "copy" Deadrising.

Damn, dude! I STILL have mine on my shelf, just to look back and happily sigh about some good times.

As much as I love Mugi from K-ON (She's Kenshiro's secret daughter.), not even she's enough for me to consider the insane following for the series most people tend to praise it with.
