In what reality are we living where Itch.io gets an entire section in this article yet GOG isn’t mentioned a single time?

They picked fairly easy quests to ease people into the game. In each title of the series, later missions can get really challenging where strategy and knowledge are more crucial.

Not a deal breaker PER SE, but compounded with the other issues (e.g. not much to do at end game since all legendaries are the same, hard mode raid doesn’t give new weapons as rewards), it does not paint D2 in a positive light.

CD Projekt Red is the development wing of CD Projekt, the owners and operators of GOG. They’re the fifth largest game company in the West. There is essentially zero chance of them being bought out.

If you sink 400$ into a game like this you shouldn’t demand a refund, you should seek out help.
