Pretty nice of Family Guy to allow the content they stole from another user to be returned to it’s original place. I’m sure they also made sure to send the original content creator a nice check for using their video.... Yeah right, what am I talking about.

There are penalties for false DMCA takedowns (at least in the law, theoretically, it could happen).

Actually the system is only partially automated. The System actually “flags” videos for inspection - and a user looks through the video and approves a take down.

Thing is though, given how abysmally the whole copyright thing on YouTube works, I’m going to guess the strikes aren’t removed from these users’ accounts in situations like this, even after the content is restored. Anyone know for sure?

I think companies need to be penalized for reporting false flags. That is the only way this kind of things are less likely to happen.

They’re not automatic. You shoot enemies and after a while they become “stunned”, and glow orange and blue. That’s when you close in, press F and it activates a finisher. I think you get more health, etc from doing it, but if you don’t want, you can just shoot them, it’s entirely optional.

I totally lost my shit when this happened. Crash Bandicoot was such a big part of my childhood and I had a stupid grin on my face the entire time I played. I also loved the jabs about it taking forever to load and how people just want their games to be instantaneous.

Why would a company choosing to alter their own product be censorship?

Censorship is when any formed group imposes changes over another persons work. In this case the localization team censors the work of the development team. It doesn’t have to be government based as some idiots would lead you to believe and it can happen within a company.

I was actually really impressed when I noticed that option in the alpha. Of course, I also couldn’t help but think “Why the hell would I ever pick Movie Mode?”

Americans couldn’t differentiate Asian 12-year-olds from 20-year-olds anyway. *laughs*

So instead of finding faults with their products and working toward making a better one, they’re going to cry foul over the lack of objective reviews. Seems about right.
