Back in my days, not only did we have to go to a barnes and noble and copy the moves from an EGM while no one was looking, we then had to use our own hands to input those!

Echoing this point. Although you can fast travel many times I had great experiences just riding the horse from town to town. Not only do you get some amazing scenery (and beautiful sky), but often times you’d run into some small side story or diversion.
