I would like to see the number of gears in autos increase a lot actually. More gears means you can have less powerful engines that still have the capabilities to speed up and overtake other drivers. Absolutely hate this. Visiting a girlfriend at the time at her college was absolutely miserable. Every student decided they have the right to cross whenever, wherever. They don't even think about looking both ways.

Well if the diesel turns out good then maybe the next generation of car buyers wont have the same opinion as you. It could change the brands image (along with the dart being successful).

And if it fails how do you check? It's like the blind spot detection sensors only taken to a whole new level. Not yo mention increased costs and that's more to replace in an accident. Is it all worth it in the end?

this isn't always true though. Granted if you want a chevelle or a charger just right a blank check. But last year my family picked up a Buick skylark gs for 3grand. Power convertible and a 7.5l power plant for a franction of the more "desire able" cars. And this I can hoon all I want.
