I have never liked “hawaiian” pizza, but pepperoni and pineapple is somehow amazing. The juicy nature of pineapple and its citrus is a great cutter for the pepperoni and whatever lackluster “dough” my local pizza options use.

I think the specific climate should also factor in. Places that have a lower average daily temperature will have greater flexibility in leaving things out of the fridge. I used to try to have a morning routine.
