I feel like it comes down to if you own your own home. I know it sounds crazy.

If you own your home, you can have book shelves where ever you may, and whatever you put on them (if not, you know, books), they're stable.

My wife and I live in Hawaii, and both work. After college, it took me three years to reach "professional" level pay. We just hit the benchmark for "happiness" this year.
