They inflate faster than the blink of an eye, and if you're wearing your seatbelt and the accident is minor your face may never touch the airbag in some cars. The deployment can be quite loud but that varies from car to car as well; it's not like crashing into something is peaceful, anyway...

True, but I think they were referring to problems under warranty that were bad enough to strand you - something that’s a lot more frequent now across entire car lines (lots of Nissans, Chrysler products, and Fords) than it was then.

As a current Cummins Ram owner, I’ll be interested to see how reliable this new truck is over the next several years, because Titans haven’t been particularly reliable so far, especially the early ‘04-’07 models, which tended to have lots of problems. I hope it doesn’t take them four model years to get the bugs worked…

Yup. I never turned off the traction control on the street in the 2006 GT500 I drove for while. That thing was tail happy anyway, with 500hp and a 58/42% F/R weight distribution.
