NHL GM’s have not yet figured out that their league salary cap rises by 2 - 3%/year, not the 8 - 10% that the NFL enjoys. They feel like these contracts will be bargains in terms of cap percentage by the end due to inflation and it is not working out that way which is getting some teams in trouble.

Regardless of Durant’s intentions, the asshole here is Nick Young.

And let’s think about what he’s actually asking the staff to do- when you ask for salsa they will dish it into your bowl. He is asking them to dish it into a container and apply a lid instead. He’s not asking them to do his taxes. It’s literally a grand total of 2 seconds of extra work for the staff, tops. The fact

Assuming they are paid hourly and this isn’t in some way more physically/mentally/emotionally stressful than their usual tasks, can someone explain how this is unfair to the workers themselves?

These stories always just make me chuckle. As someone who has worked multiple service industry jobs in my lifetime, most of these complaints seem utterly ridiculous to me. Most of the one’s listed don’t even sound like line employees complaints rather than managers complaints. Breaking big bills? If I was working the

I was with you right up until the “At least give them 20%” part. Wait staff taking a 15-20% tip for granted is what leads to most terrible service.

That one feels like whining. All the others feel justified.

I’m not here to say whether Torre is a bigot or not, Hernández may have a point in regards to white umps getting promoted. I do know that Hernández doesn’t get to work World Series games because he’s a fucking terrible umpire.

I don’t think any sane person wants replay for balls and strikes. But the technology to have a robot instantaneously call balls and strikes exists right now and they won’t even consider it.

As die hard Cards fan, this is the worst way to win a game. That poor kid was robbed of, what should have been, a very special moment that he’s been working for his whole life. Every time I see a story like this, I’m reminded of the article on here a year or two back that argued for taking the calling of balls and

This has gotten to the ‘something’s gotta give’ point

I don’t understand why MLB doesn’t just have a computer call balls and strikes. It’s so stupid that this technology exists and they don’t use it.

Fixing a fight that badly in Australia should be a bootable offense.

Large Tub Of Potato Salad Beats Homophobic Piece of Human Trash, Is New WBO Welterweight Champion [UPDATE]

At this point if you’re paying attention to boxing it’s your own fault.

Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving asshole. Hopefully I never have to see that disgusting creature known as Pac ever again.

I agree. They clearly know he won’t be able to play in 4 years and are trying to game the cap system. This is exactly what the rule is intended to prevent, although it is not an egregious example.

Explain to me again how a guy who has made $123 million over his career, giving 50% effort most of the time, got screwed over by the NBA.

For someone who bounces and throws a ball around for a living I’d say he’s overpaid as hell.

And he might not even be the best player on his team.
