I get that the oil change takes a lot more labor than a normal car, but it doesn’t make any sense for it to cost as much as a brand new Civic. Except bragging rights for the owner, I guess. More proof that too much money makes some people stupid amd awful (or is it that stupid, awful people tend to pursue careers that

Yeah, agreed. I’m in no way suggesting people should have to prove they need a big ass car in order to legally have one.  Nobody should be forced to drive anything they don't want to drive. I am suggesting that driving a big ass car that exceeds one’s need, knowing that it puts other people at risk, is kinda dick, and

I loathe fake hood pins as it is (and basically all other fake racing accoutrements), but the placement of the ones on this car is just...way, way off.  Looks ridiculous.  As if the checkered trim on the side and the fake carbon fiber on on the hood weren’t ugly enough. Still, not a terrible price, though not what I’m

Yeah, admittedly the headline is pretty hyperbolic.  At the same time, I don't think it's unreasonable to bring to light the fact that driving a large, tall automobile does put any pedestrians that you happen to run into in greater danger of dying.  Just one more thing to consider when one is deciding if they really

I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess you’re responding to the headline and first paragraph without having read the article. If you had, you’d know that the increase is being attributed to SUVs being more likely to cause fatality when they do strike pedestrians, and not to drivers being more likely to hit pedestrians

I’m excited about electric cars, but I will lament losing the pleasure that noisy gas engines provide. I am fine with using fake sound effects to replicate that aspect of the driving experience. I’d like to see the government set some regs reguarding minimum (and probably maximum) allowable decible levels and some

Minivans only make sense of you need to carry a lot of people and/or a lot of cargo and don’t care if your vehicle drives like a potato. For a daily commuter that sometimes needs to carry a few passengers and/or a fair amount of cargo, a wagon makes more sense, and is more fun to drive. Perfect small family car.

I feel it’s also while they believe being gay is a “choice” or a “lifestyle” and not a biological predilection. A person who feels little or no attraction to members of the same sex should understand perfectly well that those who do experience same sex attraction have little choice in the matter.

I put blame on both drivers and Tesla. At this point, it should be abundantly clear to Tesla drivers that they can’t let their car drive itself without maintaining attention. They have no excuse. However, the idea of trying to maintain constant attention while a computer basically drives the car for you sounds

I used to deliver pizzas, and only got pissed about being paid in change once. Mainly because 1) the house was massive and had a fountain in the foyer, so they could have written a check or paid with a card, and 2) mostly because when I counted it back at the restaurant, they were 25 cents short, so not only did I get

This, 100%. I get that people driving with autopilot engaged are supposed to be beta testing the technology so that it will eventually be advanced enough to drive a car with no human oversight, but you’re right, it sounds horrible. Personally I enjoy driving and have no interest in even a truly autonomous car, but

I just can’t get past the incredibly low, flat hood and the extremely large boxy cargo compartment. The contrast makes me... uncomfortable. I’m not gonna have to drive these if the USPS adds them to their fleet, but I’m gonna have to look at them a lot since driving is a big part of my job. Do not want.

I would be upset about this if I could afford a Supra, but I can’t so I’m not.

They weren’t doing it for owners. They were helping dealers roll back odometers. Those dealers clearly profited. But even if Ferrari was somehow getting a cut of the extra cash they were fraudulently raking in, I can’t imagine it was enough money to justify the massive risk they were taking.

OMG it’s like my Legacy and my wife’s CRV mated and had a baby.

1) The 95 Subaru Legacy L may not have a lot of power, but it handles amazingly well for a grocery-getter.

Anything with an automatic transmission, a reasonably sound-insulated cabin, and a premium audio system.

I got really high on cannabis while preparing a presentation on 4 different proofs of the fundamental theorem of algebra for my complex analysis class in college and I NAILED IT. Granted, I wasn't high when I gave the presentation, but I do credit weed with shifting my thinking in a way that helped me to better

I think it should just be called "Star Wars." The revised versions should be completely scrubbed from the canon.

This is why I wholly support GMO labeling. If Monsanto wants to sell its products, the burden of proof lies with them to demonstrate that their products are safe. But the safety of GMOs for human consumption isn't the only important issue surrounding GMOs. Consider "terminator" seeds- seeds that will produce crops
