Here's the thing: the majority of fans who attend a major PGA event don't appreciate the type of garbage that fans of Howard Stern think is funny. They should keep their "humor" in closer proximity to peanut shells and dart boards, where it is more apropos.

Are you able to follow the thread, partner? Or just butting in because you're bored waiting for Breaking Bad to start?

I'm not sure if the best way to argue that Howard Stern remains relevant and/or interesting in 2013 is to cite a broadcast in 2001, a movie from 1997 or a book released in 1993.

Instead of trying to shame people sitting quietly at baseball games reading, Deadspin should make an effort to out these idiots. It really is disruptive to play, and distracting as a spectator.

When Phil is good, he's very good. When he's bad, cue up the "Yakety Sax" for the highlight reel.

It was kind of delightful to read (I didn't know there was such loathing of Kelly). Glancing now, the masses seem to have moved on to the hope that this means Shep or Greta are on their way out instead of their beloved Sean. They must have moved on to the "denial" stage of grief.

A lot of Tea Bag conservatives hate Megyn Kelly. I checked out the comments on Twitchy earlier today and it came down to her being a "NE liberal RINO." They're screaming bloody murder over the thought of Hannity losing his time slot to her.

Leave New York? This happens everywhere. We'd have to leave the planet to truly get away from it.

Are you ten?

Ugh. This is a regular feature? Wish it was tagged as chum, then.

You just haven't met the right caste of Scott.

this struck me as the reaction of a woman who was date-raped and has just gotten home and is processing

I have to confess, I never ever make a single thing Albert writes about, but I absolutely love how he writes about stuff I'll never make. He has the gift of making a reader wish they were so adept in the kitchen.

Albert, I still don't want to cook but I do want you to marry me.

My edit hit late, but I apologize for the pile-on - I should have gone through the entire comment thread before replying to you.

It may be, merely speculating, that it's been such a very few number of days between Amanda's being taken in under the 5150 and the request for conservatorship, that the judge wants more time and psychiatric evaluation to take place before granting the parents such power over Bynes.

I was coming here in defense of Cop Land as well. The performance he got from Stallone was remarkable.

Holy cow, fantastic.

In Dangerous Liaisons, it's how the nuns attempt to treat Madame de Tourvel (Michelle Pfeiffer) before she dies.

I'm not quite sure I understand the question. It's not really news when a private person/non-celebrity is held on a 5150 (or its equivalent in other states), unless there was a newsworthy-level incident accompanying the hold.
