I feel like a money sink should come only after there is a problem with players having more money they is useful. Not beforehand.
The problem is that in a truly controllable economy, the devs built one that doesn’t reward enough currency but has a number of things that require quite a bit of currency.
I may or may not work for a certain retailer and I can tell you there are millions of dollars sitting in the system from unpicked up layaway orders. People get called and either don’t have an accurate name in the system or think it’s some government agency trying to trap them.

I think that unless the Steam Deck is mass produced and selling sure maybe Nintendo switches things up but it having such a limited quantity will limit it’s ability to actually make a dent.
