Pokemon is the iPhone of Anime. It’s certainly not the first but it was the first big one to make it in America. It had a game, a show, and endless merchandise. None of those other shows even came close. Hell after pokemon blew up a number of shows with similar premises were trotted out to the states.

Not these versions. Because they won in their timeline.
