I saw one in Epping, NH a few years back. It was sponsored and built by Clutchmasters. It ran mid 9-10 second 1/4 mile times all day long. The first time it rolled up to the burnout line, the announcer stated that this was the worst mpg prius that we'd ever see.

The concept looks like Toyota Venza or its Lexus twin.
I thought that one made it to production. I saw one on the showroom floor at a Keene, NH Chrysler dealership. It was silver, but looked just like that. One of the guys I work with even went and test drove it but got extreme sticker shock from the over $65k tag. Was that a prototype that I saw?
On that note, has anyone ever actually purchased a NPOCP car? That would be an awesome follow up piece.
