Everyone should read Tom Wheelers own words on the subject as they are more reasoned than the opposition gives credit.

Looking over C in that penal code you linked to, sitting in your girlfriends kitchen while you tell her all about how you've had conversations with other people about the conversation you're currently having hardly constitutes a reasonable belief in confidentiality, especially when the context of the conversation is,

It looks extremely possible that she didn't sell the tapes to TMZ. She gave the tapes over to her lawyer because she was sued by his wife. She had the tapes because he asked her to record their conversations because he is losing his mind.

Like gamespot, the issue was corrected quickly. Also, a typo feels substantially different than making a judgement on what rumor to post.

Yeah, but also, people aren't saying steal it, they are saying force him to sell. And estimates of the sale are between 600 million and 1 billion dollars.

And also the transactional way he talks about his relationship with his girlfriend. The weird guilt trippy stuff. Where does this come from, "You can fuck them if you like..." How did it go from instagram to fucking. Like, you take a picture with Magic Johnson and then all the sudden you're fucking him.

QUOTE | "If you want to be an indie... then going to university to learn those skills is increasingly questionable." - The Chinese Room's Dan Pinchbeck, talking about the the value of education versus getting a job.

I think we need a stricter definition than "Best." If you're talking about the golden age of other mediums, they aren't saying, "This was the best." But rather, there is a feeling that ages move up and plateau, and the golden age is a time when the art or science sees a spike that's bigger than normal.

This seems like the set up to a lightbulb joke.

It turns out it's a rare drop. That or I got screwed by the RNG because we talked to a ton of lawyers.

Yeah, it was complicated but the jist was, the person (an ex of mine from years back) just lied, they said they had created a company the same name as the NFP I was running and with the same logo. We got their documents and there was no evidence that was the case.

I was recently frivolously sued over trademark infringement. It was the worst experience of my life. Maybe I should be greatful for that fact. But boy was is it hard. And boy did it cost me more money than the IP was worth. In the end I settled out of court, it's something I'll regret for a long time, but I didn't

You need places for bad art, because eventually some of the bad filters up. I like to see home made plays and I've been to performance art stuff, because I want to see what people are doing. For me, it's like seeing a shitty local band, I want to encourage people to branch out, practice, do things live.

When you are looking at risk there are multiple factors. If you are risking A LOT of money, you should risk less on untested game ideas. It doesn't mean there is less total risk in the venture, there's just different risk. The more money you spend the harder it is to recoup that cost.

100 million + dollar investments are anything but risk adverse.

Is there anything we can do? Can you link us to someone to write to? Super sad.
